We are surrounded by technology in every aspect of our lives, and it has become an integral part of our daily routines. On National Technology Day, which is celebrated annually on May 11th in India, we take a moment to appreciate and acknowledge the significant role technology plays in our lives.

This day was established in 1999 by the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in honour of the tenth anniversary of the Pokhran Nuclear Test. The test demonstrated India’s nuclear capabilities and made it the sixth country in the world to possess nuclear weapons. The day was declared by the National Council for Technology Development in India, to recognize and celebrate the achievements of Indian scientists and engineers in the field of technology.
