How do you resolve mental health issues in the workplace?

Social, psychological, and biological factors all have an impact on mental health. As a result, work stress can be a potential trigger for psychological issues such as anxiety and depression. In fact, mental illnesses are the second most common health issue in the workplace.

1- Know about the true feelings of your staff. –
The best way to start improving mental health at work is to have monthly conversations or surveys with your employees about what they want, any changes or recommendations they have for the betterment of the workplace.

You as a team leader must initiate the conversation with your team and convince your employees to be truthful and express their true feelings.
Team leaders should convey the report about their team’s suggestions to higher authorities.

Similarly, seniors should be aware of how a team leader or manager truly feels about the workplace.

2- Consistent communication is the key!
A smile and some extra effort on a daily basis can be a stress reliever for the individuals around you. You can do this by asking juniors how they are, what they are working on, if they need any help, and showing interest in the individual. This is the most basic method of maintaining mental health at work.

NO PLANNING REQUIRED! ALL YOU NEED IS TIME AND A SMILE.

3- Plan Events for Your Team

Job should not be all about work. Organizing events (for example, company meals and outings) can be an excellent way to show your appreciation for the team while also giving employees an opportunity to develop better understanding with each other.

Better understanding among employees will benefit your business by developing  better coordination among employees.
